The age diversity of members ranges from the mid-20's to 55+, and most
reside in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and eastern
Connecticut. While most of the membership has professional
backgrounds, many have worked part-time as ski instructors, ski patrollers,
administrative and operational ski area management, etc. This, coupled with
years of experience, can provide a wealth of information to the novice or
intermediate skier.

In the Winter, the club enjoys skiing, snowboarding and, tubing.
During the off-season, some activities are hiking, mountain biking and climbing,
roller blading, photography, canoeing, swimming, fishing, golf, and
tennis. In mid-April, we have our annual Pig Roast, and our Sports Banquet
week-end is in June. During the summer, we participate in the EICSL Summer
Club weekend events; Memorial Day, 4th of July,
and Labor Day. In November, we have our New Members
weekend. In December, we host our Senior Citizens Christmas
Dinner which is our way of giving back to the community. There are
many social activities, including inter-club parties on weekends during the ski
season.
Most of the club activities are held at the lodge, but some social
events are held in the Boston area, Gloucester, Cape Cod, and Lake Winnipesaukee.

The Ski-Bee lodge sleeps 73 people in a bunk bed arrangement. Men
are billeted on the first and third floors, while women have second floor
sleeping quarters. The lodge has a full commercial kitchen including
an industrial stove/oven/grille, 50+ CU.FT. refrigerator, chest freezer,
dishwasher, and microwave oven. Our dining room can seat 100 people.
We have a front room with large color cable TV. with VCR. The middle room
for reading and games has a gas log fireplace. The function room, which
includes the dining area, can hold over 250 people. The building has a
secured room for skis and ski equipment, a ski-tuning room, and an outside
storage shed for barbecue equipment and mountain bikes

The Ski-Bee Race Team has about 40 racers (20 men, 15 women, 5 juniors)
in EICSL Race Program. The ability ranged from beginners to experts.
The race program has 3 qualifiers and a championship. At the
end of the ski-season, our Race Team hosts a Club Race for all of members (and
guests) with a barbecue at the mountain, and an après-ski party.

Full Lodge members must be 21 years old and single. Membership dues are
$375 per year. A prospective member must attend 3 organized
events, 2 of these events must be at the lodge on organized
weekends. Each member must select a committee in which you would
like to work on.
Race Members can be married or single and of any age. Membership
dues are $55 per year. Race members must race for the Ski-Bees Race
team in the EICSL race program.
All applications must include a current photo and a $5.00 application fee. The Ski-Bees Board of Directors approves all new memberships.
After being voted in, members pay a one-time Initiation Fee of $25. Full Lodge members also pay $25 refundable deposit for a lodge key.
Full Members must contribute 12 hours. These hours can span over
multiple work weekends. Typically, we have 2 work weekends;
Columbus Day weekend and Halloween weekend.

Full Lodge Members pay a nightly fee of $5 during the ski season and $3 during the off-season. The Full Lodge member has
a key to the lodge and can bring guests up anytime, year round. The Full
Lodge Member gets an assigned room and bed and can keep clothes, toiletries, bed
linen or sleep bag, towel, etc. in that room.
Race Members pay a nightly fee of $5 on a race weekends. All other
weekends, the Race Members pay guest rates.
Guest Lodging fees are $20 per night during ski season, and $10.00 per
night during the off-season. All guests must be sponsored by a Full Lodge
Member.
During organized weekends or events, persons under 21 can not stay at the
lodge.
On weekends during the ski season, we hire a cook for Saturday and Sunday
breakfasts, and Saturday evening dinner. The cost is $20 for the 3
meals. The meals are optional.
On organized weekends, each member is assigned a chore to help facilitate
the upkeep of the lodge. The chores are minor tasks, such as;
serving a meal, sweeping a floor, assisting the chef at breakfast, etc.

General meetings are usually held on the forth Monday of the month from
September thru April. Meetings are at the Pizzeria Uno's in Newton at 7:00 PM. We encourage all members to
